Like you already know, we were at the Fluff Fest in the Czech Republic two weeks ago; except a journey of 8 hours (one-way!) and an endless struggle against wind and weather – our tent had no chance – we had lots of fun. The vegan burgers were delicious like always, but we were just too tired for karaoke and the dance hall – no surprise!
Just the subsequent Saturday the 4th Veggie Street Day took place. You will find a detailed report, pictures and so on right here! Altogether 5.000 visitors came to the fair in Dortmund that day. Besides the Vegan Strength Team with Bodybuilding-World champion Alexander Dargatz and a terrific show of Kafkas, we saw willful polonaises through Burger King next door and last but not least Jana Wagenhuber who just escaped from Big-Brother-slammer. But there were lots of information about veganism and animal rights, vegan delights and, of course, the roots of compassion-stall. Furthermore we met a lot of nice people, among others members of the band Horns of Resistance from Wuppertal, Germany.
In addition we have some news from the ROC-HQ: The cookbook ‘Vegan lecker lecker!‘ is almost sold out, but no fear, we already organized the printing of the second edition. We have even more ideas for other cookbooks in our minds, but we won’t tell yet…
Even though it seems that it is raining for ages, we decided to do a road trip to the FLUFF FESTIVAL in Pilzen (Czech Republic) today. Besides music, yummy burgers and the amazing public pool there will be an interesting entertaining social and cultural program during the whole weekend – and of course the Roots of Compassion-stall will be there too! So, come along and drop by for a chat.
We are looking forward to be at the annual VEGGIE STREET DAY at the Reinoldikirchplatz in Dortmund on August 1 – yeah! There are going to be lots of food, music and nice people.
The Shirt ‘How about I eat you‘ in black with grey printing is back in stock – very cool and foremost it is made out of 100 % organic cotton, fair trade and co2-neutral. Besides the pin ‘Antispeciest Action’ is available again. In the beginning of September at the latest we will have even more pins in our ROC-shop – please be patient.
Not much has happenend in the ROC headquarters this week, and since our week started on wednesday, its over already, haha!
But here is a quick update:
we haven’t had the chance to collect our latest print run from our screenprinter, so thats going to happen next week. The ‘Whales‘ and the ‘Tofu Monster‘ are almost sold out in fitted size but we hope to have them back in stock in about 2 weeks, fingers crossed!
We’re currently looking for new products that we’ll be launching in our upcoming newsletter on july 1st. We have quite a few ideas, so stay tuned 😉
Oh and by the way: today is world environment day and the world premiere of ‘Home‘ a documentary film that aims to change the way people see the planet and their impact on it. Directed by internationally renowned French photographer Yann Arthus-Bertrand, produced by world famous director Luc Besson, the complete movie is available on YouTube until June 14th!
We recently were visited by Simone from RAPUNZEL, since we’ll soon have new delicious organic chocolates like Cranberry Chili, Ginger and Truffel in our shop as well as other exquisite vegan delicacies.
Unfortunately our supplier for the climate neutral T-Shirts has a shortage of all our favourite colors, so a few of the new t-shirts are currently sold out, but we hope to have them in stock again by the end of this month! The “Freedom” shirt will be available in all sizes again next week.

As requested by many we’re introducing more plain hoodies – heather grey, moss green and a black jacket! All fairtrade of course and in awesome and warm 320g cotton quality.
For those of you who want to make sure their fridge stays cruelty free, check out our 4 new fridge magnets.
It’s finally spring here, so time to get out and enjoy the sunshine! And why not start the outdoor season with one of our 5 new T-Shirt designs! All printed on organic cotton, certified fairtrade and CO2 neutral!
In the future, we’ll switch all our other designs to these T-Shirts, and all carbon neutral products will be labelled in our shop.
So, we just cleaned up our office and storage and found around 300 items – leftover stock, B grade goods, samples, returns and much more that we need to get rid of for new stock! Of course we took photos of every item and added a description. You can find all the items at reduced prices in our SALE section!
We’ve finally found a good source for 100% organic and 100% fairtrade T-Shirts. But not enough, they are also manufactured solely using renewable green energy generated from wind and solar power. We’ll use them for our new collection which will be launched in April, as well as for all reprints. Yay!
